Miss Universe 2007 Riyo Mori will be in Vietnam
to attend Miss Universe 2008 fr June 15-17 in Nha Trang and to give up her crown.

Japan and Vietnam
Every trip I take back home, I get excited. But this trip to Japan was particularly special because I was receiving an award from Vogue Nippon as Woman of the Year! When I was first told the news, I was literally jumping around and screaming!
I was so nervous when I was on stage to receive the award. However a lot of people in the audience cheered for me. I am so privileged to have so many supporters. As usual, visiting Japan was a quick but always wonderful trip!
I also stopped by Vietnam after being in Japan. I had always heard about how beautiful the country is and it lives up to its reputation! Everyone was so hospitable and Vietnamese cuisine is delicious - tons of veggies and fresh fish!!
The trip was also a little bittersweet because Vietnam is where I will ultimately give up my crown. But I still have a few more months and I will continue to keep trying to do my best as Miss Universe 2007!!
